Opini, Nusaharianmedia.com – very morning, Rina woke up before sunrise to prepare her stall in the village market. She was a hardworking trader who sold all kinds of goods that people needed every day.
First, she arranged the sacks of rice in neat rows. “Fresh and fluffy rice!” she called out to attract customers. Then she stacked the bags of white sugar, making sure they looked clean and inviting under the morning sun.
Next to the sugar, she placed a tray of fresh eggs. Some were white, some were brown, but all were gathered from her uncle’s farm nearby. She knew villagers loved fresh eggs for their breakfast.
Beside the eggs, Rina piled crunchy crackers in clear plastic bags. Kids often stopped by just to get a taste of the crispy snack. She would smile and sometimes give them a free sample.
Finally, at the end of her stall, she set up her bottles of palm oil (minyak goreng). “Buy two, get a little extra!” she said with a grin. Her oil came from a local supplier, and many people trusted its quality.
By midday, Rina’s stall was always busy. Mothers, uncles, and even teenagers came to buy from her. She greeted everyone with warmth and always gave honest prices. Though she sold many different things, her true product was trust.
And as the sun began to set, Rina packed up her remaining goods, already thinking about tomorrow—another day to trade, to meet people, and to make a living with a smile. (By : Melati Mei Citri)
